Basic Idea Of Automobile Engine - The given figure below shows the rough idea of a automobile engine that we have in our mind in first view/ first sight. Basically a mechanical device/machine which converts some form of energy into motion. There are main Two types of engines:- 1. Internal Combustion Engine (IC) - As the name suggest Internal Combustion Engine, the combustion of fuel takes place inside the engine in the combustion chamber. 2. External Combustion Engine(EC) - The External Combustion Engine is a heat engine where an internal working fluid is heated by combustion of an external source, through the engine wall or a heat exchanger.
